ISL conferences, known as symposia, provide an important forum for researchers and practitioners to come together to discuss the latest developments in sustainable leadership. Our conferences are deliberately kept small so people can attend all sessions, get to know one another and discuss issues in a convivial atmosphere.
On the last day of the conference, delegates can participate in informal networking outside the conference venue on the External Development Day. As well as enjoying local sights, we visit a local sustainably run organisation or business.
In 2016 we visited Khao Hin Sorn Royal Development Learning Centre, Thailand to see Sufficiency Thinking in practice.
In 2015, we enjoyed hearing about sustainable tourism from the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, and visited a wind farm and olive grove. In 2014, we inspected the modern plant at BMW in Munich, and the previous year, delegates met with the CEO of Schneider Electric near Nice.
